For Claude and ChatGPT

Add Coldrig to your AI assistant.

Paste one message into your Claude or ChatGPT chat and it connects itself, or add Coldrig by hand with the steps below. Either way you sign in to Coldrig and press Allow. You do not need to code, and you do not need to copy an API key.

The fastest way

Paste this into your chat.

Open Claude, ChatGPT or your coding tool, paste this and send it. Your assistant reads this page and does the rest. You sign in to Coldrig and press Allow.

message to your assistant
Connect yourself to Coldrig and set it up for me. Start here: https://coldrig.dev/connect
If you can't open links, tell me and I'll paste the guide.

Your assistant gets its steps from the Connect page. Using a coding tool? One-click install, then sign in to Coldrig when it asks. Your tool asks you to confirm before it installs anything.

Before you start

One address, one sign-in.

This is the connection address to paste into the app. It is the same for Claude and ChatGPT.

connection address
https://api.coldrig.dev/mcp

The app opens a Coldrig page where you sign in the way you already do on our website, with an email link or your API key. If you do not have an account yet, you can sign up free from that page. Then you check the app's name and press Allow.

Claude

Connect Coldrig to Claude.

  1. 1. Open Claude's connector settingsIn Claude, go to Customize, then Connectors, and choose Add custom connector. Anthropic may rename menu items, so look for the words "custom connector". Or open this link, which Claude documents as opening that box with the name and address filled in. We have not clicked it ourselves, so check what it fills in.
  2. 2. Paste the connection addressEnter the address above in the web address box, give the connector a name such as Coldrig, and press Add. If Claude asks how to sign in, leave its choices as they are.
  3. 3. Sign in to ColdrigClaude opens a Coldrig page. Press Continue, sign in, check the account name, then press Allow. Claude brings you back and Coldrig appears in your connectors.
  4. 4. Turn it on in a chatStart a new chat, make sure Coldrig is switched on for it, and go to "Ask your assistant to run it" below.

Claude's help pages (checked 2026-10-18) say a person can add a custom connector on the Free, Pro, Max, Team and Enterprise plans. Free allows one, and on Team and Enterprise only an Owner can add it, after which each member presses Connect. We have not tried adding Coldrig by hand on Claude's Connectors screen, so a step may look different from what is written here. In our own test on 2026-10-18, the Claude assistant in a free web chat said it could not add a server or call Coldrig itself; that was the assistant trying to connect on its own. If you do not see "custom connector" in your Claude settings, use Claude Code instead: it connects with one command and a Coldrig sign-in, on the Connect page.

ChatGPT

Connect Coldrig to ChatGPT.

  1. 1. Use ChatGPT on the webOpen chatgpt.com in a browser. OpenAI's help center says this feature is web only, not in the mobile app.
  2. 2. Add a custom MCP serverOpen the Plugins page at chatgpt.com/plugins, press the plus button, and choose "Add custom MCP server". Paste the connection address above. Under authentication, choose "OAuth", which is how ChatGPT labels signing in to another service.
  3. 3. Sign in to ColdrigChoose "I understand and want to continue", then "Create as a plugin". A Coldrig page opens. Press Continue, sign in, check the account name, then press Allow.
  4. 4. Use it in a chatStart a new chat, type @Coldrig or switch Coldrig on, and go to "Ask your assistant to run it" below.

OpenAI's help center says custom-server support is for Business and Enterprise/Edu plans on the web (admins and owners, plus members an Enterprise/Edu admin authorizes), and that Pro can connect with read and fetch access only. It does not say whether Plus, Go or Free plans can add one. We checked on 2026-10-18. If you do not see "Add custom MCP server", your plan or workspace may not allow it, and OpenAI decides that. On 2026-10-18 we connected a ChatGPT Plus account this way: its agent, working in ChatGPT's Work mode, filled in the Add custom MCP server box (name Coldrig, this address, OAuth), we pressed Allow on the Coldrig page, and ChatGPT's Work mode then ran a full test-mode setup, campaign and reply cycle through Coldrig. In that account's regular chat the Settings page had no add-server control, so the box came up through Work mode. We have not confirmed that Plus's regular Chat tab can use Coldrig.

After you connect

Ask your assistant to run it.

In a chat where Coldrig is switched on, send this message. Your assistant decides how to carry it out and will ask you for what it needs.

message to your assistant
Use Coldrig to run cold email for me. Ask me whatever you need to know, and show me everything before anything is sent.

A new Coldrig account starts in free test mode, where email is simulated and nothing real is sent or paid for. Your API key stays the same when you go live.

Staying in control

What a connected app can do, and how to stop it.

  • It gets your whole accountA connected app can do whatever an API key can do on your account. That lasts until you disconnect it or change your API key.
  • Check the nameApps choose their own names, and Coldrig does not verify them. The page shows the web address the app returns to. Press Allow only for an app you started connecting yourself.
  • Disconnect any timeSign in to the Coldrig dashboard, open Settings, find Connected apps, and press Disconnect next to the app. It stops working right away. Webhooks the app already set up keep running.
  • Changing your API key disconnects every appIf you rotate your API key in Settings, all connected apps stop working, and you can connect them again.
What we have tested

Plainly stated.

You will see these steps in Claude's and ChatGPT's own screens, which they can change at any time. The wording above follows their published help pages as of 2026-10-18.

Verification statusWe have tested our side of the connection: signing in, approving, connecting and disconnecting. We completed a live connection to ChatGPT on 2026-10-18, in its Work mode on a Plus account (sign in and Allow, with no API key). We have not completed one on Claude's Connectors screen, so a step in Claude's screens may look different from what is written here.
